Collective Worship

In accordance with our Trust Deed, collective worship is Christian and in sympathy with the teachings of the Church of England.

We deliver a daily act of worship that draws the whole school together in a common purpose. It should provide the opportunity to worship God through reflection and celebration and to contribute to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the children and staff.

Collective worship should be a special occasion, often held within a special place.  The themes for collective worship will allow a mixed age group to participate in a meaningful and relevant way at different levels of understanding.

Collective worship is seen as part of the life of the wider Christian community.

Once a week, classes also engage in 'Picture News' a collective worship that enables children to talk about the world's news, issues and current affairs.
